Sunglasses: the new marble frame by Budri is the new fashion trend of 2017
The Emilian marble company of excellence launches a new line of precious and super light Budri Eyewear
Sunglasses are undergoing different trends and the new diktat for the summer 2017 is definitely marble frames. Hard to believe? Budri- Italian excellence in the marble sector- took on the challenge and was able to obtain through several technological innovations a millimetric marble sheet to turn into an exclusive ultra light frame?
The project took off in 2014 when Budri signed the first marble prototypes (read also → I primi occhiali con montatura in marmo firmati Budri) but it was abandoned because of the violent earthquake that destroyed part of the factory. Today, after two years of extensive research, a collaboration with designer Valerio Cometti and few of the most renown figures in the glasses sector, Budri Eyewear sees the light. The collection, for both men and women, counts 5 models in 9 different kinds of refined marbles.
The collection is characterized by some of the most iconic sunglasses such as the aviator, the 50's diva cat-eye, the squared keyhole bridged, the round and the eyeshade. Two models are available also with transparent lenses.
It is pretty clear that we are not in front of a fleeting trend as it happened with wood glasses: this is a unique accessory which is a manufacturing gem, product of the harmony between the masters of marquetry and technological progress. Made in Italy, not by chance.
