Tropical Villa in Singapore

A beautiful dwelling sorrounded by nature with an astonishing outdoor swimming pool

Sprawled around a wide green courtyard, Tangga House is a fabulous villa designed by Guz Architects in the elite area of Holland Village, famous among the western expat community of Singapore.

Immerse in a sumptuous tropical garden and overlaid with vine, this mansion house is a contemporary interpretation of a traditional courtyard house.

The L-shaped plan creates open spaces which encourage natural ventilation and offer resident’s refreshing views of the courtyard’s greenery. The lushly planted gardens were conceived to fully surround the house. The swimming pool, paved with light blue tiles, wraps around two sides of the house creating a restorative oasis in the middle of the city.

Interiors create an indoor space leading to the nature outdoor thanks to sash windows, light curtains and wood shutters. Furniture is a harmonious mix of local craftsmanship and custom-made objects bound together. The organic materials employed enhance Tangga House’s green vocation.
