Coordinated floor and wall tiles inspired by Venetian terrazzo
In the new Marvel Gems collection from Atlas Concorde, tradition and innovation come together in the creativity of Italian savoir faire. Under the Marvel concept, Atlas Concorde has created a project of coordinated floor and wall tiles that takes a new look at Venetian terrazzo from a contemporary perspective, combining the appearance of fragments of marble set in a background of fine marble chippings with the excellent properties of porcelain stoneware and white-body wall tiles.
It’s a genuine interplay of fragments that capture the light, enriching residential and commercial spaces with their fascinating beauty. Marble effect pieces and inclusions express the beauty of the material that inspires them, reproducing it faithfully while combining this with the qualities of ceramic: it is easy to lay, maintain and keep clean.
The result is ceramic surfaces in which the lustre of porcelain stoneware and white-body wall tiles encounter the style of multi-faceted pieces of marble set in a background of fine marble chippings. The marble-effect fragments emerge like gemstones scattered across a brilliant continuous surface, to create unexpected reflections and fascinating environments.
The original Venetian flooring also provided the reference for the varied range of colours and particle sizes, creating elegant and personal combinations coordinated with the entire Marvel project.
The numerous sizes, up to 75x150 cm, are available in five different colours: the cold grey of Grey, the warm grey of Pearl, the luminous ivory of Cream, the pearly white of White and the intense black of Black. In addition there is one shade that is exclusive to the Marvel Gems collection: a deep, elegant blue, interpreting Venetian terrazzo in a particularly unusual shade.
The porcelain stone tiles have a fully lapped glossy and reflective finish, reminiscent of the honed look of the traditional material. Hard-wearing, tough and compact, the surface maintains its beauty intact over time, without extra maintenance costs and time.
Finally, to complete the Marvel Gems collection, there’s the “Palladiana” in porcelain stoneware, with large Carrara marble-effect pieces, and surfaces in Mix Cold and Mix Warm porcelain stoneware, studded with miniscule, densely packed homogeneous fragments, for modern environments with a retro touch.
The glossy reflective surfaces together with marble-effect fragments create environments that are full of light and reflections, creating a unique effect that is enriched with the qualities of Atlas Concorde ceramic.
