Bathroom furniture and fixtures by Duravit: if fine design lands in the house’s most private habitat
The bathroom furniture leading company unveils its latest creations at ISH 2017 in Frankfurt
Breaking news from Frankfurt: Duravit shakes up the world of modern bathroom furniture and fixtures by introducing fresh collaborations and product series of ultra-refined design. Recently unveiled, a total of 3 original collections, plus 3 tap & fitting lines – one of which realised in partnership with Swiss designer Kurt Merki Jr – and several technological innovations personal hygiene-wise, such as theVero Air washbasins’ improved rinsing performance.
The German brand invests on 4 distinctive areas – washing, bathing, showering and toileshing – with perfectly consistent, integrated and modular solutions that merge modern bathroom furnishings’ high standards with maximum comfort and aesthetical research.
Highlights include scenarios of extreme customisation, as shown by the generous array of versatile and matching washbasin options. In order to meet both professionals (architects and interior designers) and common customers’ requirements –, also lighting fittings, mirrors, worktops, accessories and bathroom fittings equipped with adjustable diffuser heads follow the same logic.
The programme includes several bathroom cabinetry collections coming in a wide range of colour and finish options. Moreover, a selection of previously existing series – L-Cube, Vero and Vero Air – was integrated with additional items; same for the mirror cabinet family and Ketho vanity units, which are matched with ME by Starck ceramics finishes.
For the pleasure of any Scandinavian design enthusiast out there, Duravit unveiled the Luv series, conceived by Danish designer Cecile Manz with pure geometries, warm materials and pleasant tactile experience in mind. The above-counter and handrinse basin are made of DuraCeram®, a material that can be used to create particularly precise edges and, together with the oval form of the bowl, produces an especially clear and fine design.
Evergreens are always on the menu: Vero, first designed by Duravit back in 2001, is since then the architectural must-have for any respectable modern bathroom. Thanks to contemporary technical options, Vero Air is a complete bathroom collection that combines the unmistakeable character of the original with new performative standards. The new DuraSquare ceramics collection boasts great linearity, functionality and minimalism, with precise rims and smooth organic basins.
