It is time for luxury bathtubs

Hollywood, the brand new bathtub by Devon&Devon

To treat ourselves with a lazy warm bath is quite an everyday privilege, especially with a long day at work behind. Water’s therapeutic and regenerating power is indeed among the most pleasant natural remedies on Earth, and is even more at hand now that all of us can set up a private Spa and wellness area in our own house.  On the occasion of ISH 2017, the world’s leading fair for the bathroom-wear held annually in Frankfurt, a wide collection of new models was freshly displayed: from high design tubs to those of old-fashioned inspiration, until the ultra-modern and hi-tech ones. Enjoy our selection.

Devon&Devon unveiled Hollywood (photo above), a freestanding bathtub set perfectly in-between classical design and contemporary features, drawing its overall inspiration from 1950’s Californian ambiances. By benefitting from the properties of Color Tec – an eco-compatible compound of minerals, resins and polyesters –, it boasts a limitless chromatic versatility in over 500 colours. Its rectangular shape makes it an ideal complement both in the centre of the bathroom or against the wall

Antheus is the latest bathroom collection by Villeroy&Boch, also featuring a generous-sized freestanding bathtub (photo above) made of ceramics. Built in the finest Quaryl® , it pays homage to minimalist Bauhaus furniture and is available with and without a base in polished stainless steel.

Multi award-winning designer Werner Aisslinger realised two separate collections for Kaldewei. Strong of his take on more inventive and less ordinary bathrooms, he partnered with Tina Bunyaprasit to create the Grid and Tricolore families (photos above and below), whose concepts offer a new connection with the surrounding architecture and allow bathtub and washbasin, like freestanding pieces of furniture, to assume sculptural yet functional structures: can’t you see the tubs’ shell made of steel enamel (also usable as storage unit)?

SIDD, the freestanding bathtub by Zucchetti.Kos (photo below) is a real invitation to relax. Resulting from extensive researches on both formal and stylistic balances, it shows off a comfy, rounded and large-sized design. Made of solid surface with matt finishes, it is a great contemporary tub for the most tactile experience.
