Designer bathroom accessories to change without having to restore

From ISH 2017 a selection of accessories and details to customize the most intimate area of your home

The collection designed by Edward van Vliet for Pomd'or, in collaboration with Rosenthal, includes bathroom accessories, pieces of furniture, mirrors, and sinks.

Designer bathroom accessories can make your bathroom modern even without a restoration. They are details that bring comfort and create an intimate and personal atmosphere. Among the several products launched at ISH, the Frankfurt fair dedicated to the bathroom (read the special → Speciale ISH), we selected three very different collections of accessories you can also mix and match to produce original creations!

Spanish brand Pomd’or chose Edward van Vliet and Rosenthal ceramics for the Equilibrium collection, a selection of luxury bathroom accessories in white and celadon, enhanced by the patterns and textures chosen by the Dutch designer with three types of finishing: gold, bronze, and chrome.

The collection features also pieces of furniture as well as complements like magnifying mirrors, trays, soap dishes, glasses, wastebaskets, toilet brush holders, Kleenex boxes and other bathroom accessories. Among the furnishings are the bohemian-looking rectangular wall mirror with LED lights and a frame in transparent glass, but also oak furniture, sinks and shower boxes, to complete with brass bathroom accessories: the soap dispenser’s container made of welded brass sticks and Carrara marble, the porcelain hangers with brass hooks, and the towel rings.

The idea of a holistic system is the core of the Assist line by Alape, a modular programme of shelves with a subtle design, conceived to blend harmoniously with every style and type of bathroom through its neat and gentle aluminium contour. It is available in different seizes and can be easily integrated with functional elements in American walnut.

It is characterised by a geometrical and contemporary design and it is very easy to assemble, thanks to “an adjustable plastic clip compensating for the walls’ irregularities”, explains designer Wolfgang Hartauer, founder of Interior Things GmbH.

Pieces from Design Mirrors, still by Alape, can play with discretion the key role in a designer bathroom - with their frames in black, mat aluminium, mirrors appear suspended in the air.

Minimal style is the right definition for the Dot collection of Ever Life Design by Thermomat designed by Monica Graffeo: quoting Kandinsky we could say “point, line, and surface”, three simple elements always able to create a functional and contemporary bathroom (read also → Non il solito portasciugamani).

The Ombra system, designed by Arkimera for Antoniolupi, changes the concept of designer bathroom accessories in architecture, thanks to the built-in system of this little niche in painted aluminium becoming a convenient illuminated storage compartment, which can also be painted in the same colour as the wall. Inside, powder-coated metal bars accessories and the Flumood trays are perfect.
