THE NEW MIENA WASHBASINS CAN BE FREELY LOCATED UPON A CONSOLE OR A COUNTERTOP, NOT BEING DEPENDENT ON THE SIZES OF THE BATHROOM FURNITURE

The latest novelties from the world of design bathroom washbasins come straight from Kaldewei, which have newly launched their new steel enamel Miena collection in Frankfurt. A series of washbasins combining the strength of the material with the delicacy of its design in one essential object. For the company, a further step ahead into the world of contemporary bathroom furnishings.

Designer Anke Salomon, who has developed this collection of bathroom washbasins, said: “Washbasins exert a strong visual impact. Since they are located upon a cabinet, it is crucial they feature a peculiar aesthetics – and an emotional one at that. At the same time, they must harmoniously fit into the bathroom context, leaving free space for a wide range of design possibilities. Our design draws inspiration from basic geometries with clean, timeless shapes that we have managed to release – in a fluid, light and natural way – from mere geometry. In a fluid and natural way – yet, an exceptional way, too”.

The new color palette, designed for maximum bathroom customization, represents a further novelty: in addition to the traditional colors of bathroom fixtures, new exclusive shades from the Coordinated Colours Collection are now available.

In addition to the new series, debuting at ISH 2017, there is a new extension to Kaldawei range, by which the brand defines the trends of the bathroom branch by addressing very different targets, such as the contract market and hotel businesses. The new range includes 80 new bathroom washbasins models and variants, from the double sink to the small washbasin, perfect for a guests’ bathroom, and extending to luxury solutions and more classic versions. For the first time, all models are available in differently colored variants.

Among the Kaldawei range extensions, is numbered the much-admired Classic collection. The bathroom washbasin, in particular, has recently been re-designed with a new, under-top interior circular shape, leaving more space for the bathroom fittings, accessories and soap dosers.

Puro S, too, deserves a special mention: an elegant, rectangular double-wall washbasin. Two product families, Cono and Puro, have been extended with the addition of a practical washbasin. A side top for the mounting of the faucet – right or left, according to choice – allows a space-saving mounting area with enough support surface for small accessories. With its characteristic square enameled steel drain top, the Cono washbasin perfectly integrates the sharp, clear outlines of the Cono family.
