A fresh new book by the founder of Designers Guild
To every style its own handle. Classical, contemporary, urban, or country?
If it is true that it’s small elements that give character to a room, the made-in-Italy handles by Mandelli are conceived for those who pay attention to every single detail.
Juno is the cement handle from the designer collection by MANDELLI1953, a perfect urban style
When we enter a room the pieces of furniture catch our attention, but they are not the only things that characterise an environment. Very often details define the atmosphere, and they are chosen to make every corner unique. Among them, we find handles that, with their design, can give a special touch to windows and doors.
The Mandelli1953’s style research starts from here. The company creates designer and classical handles and provides an elegant assortment. They developed different models of handles with new shapes, from the classical to the contemporary, with 100% made-in-Italy quality. Aesthetics, functionality, and attention to ergonomics are some of the strengths of the company’s products, combined with a penchant for new designs. Among them, four different handle collections, all marked by innovative production, in terms of materials and project development.
To decorate a designer room, here is Zeit - created in collaboration with Marco Piva - a hi-tech handle with a very innovative shape requiring an advanced production method combined with artisanal “steps”. It is the result of research work focussing on shapes and materials, new tactile and visual effects that give character to these everyday objects.
The ideal handle for those who like classical style is Fusilla, created in collaboration with architect and designer Alessandro Dubini. This handle is characterised by a strong personality and a refined manufacture of the grip.
For those looking for a contemporary and elegant taste, Twee, by designer Massimo Cavana, is an unusual and different handle originated from an apparently simple question: why having parallel planes linked by common formal rules?
Last but not least, if the room to decorate has a raw style, here is Juno, by Alessandro Dubini. The star is an unconventional material for handles: cement. The production process, almost ancestral, evokes the ancient technique of forging with moulds and the fusion of a solid body: Juno’s aesthetic outcome is stunning, but its design is very clean and minimalist.
