WHAT’S YOUR BATHROOM LIKE? HERE’S 3 MODULAR SERIES TO SWING ON A MOOD-BASIS
Duravit unveils a bunch of inspiring bathroom solutions: smooth and rounded silhouettes blend with sharp and geometrical forms
Duravit’s take on modern bathroom layouts is not a mere matter of design furniture and functional, sophisticated fixtures; it deals with an utterly new way of experiencing the house’s most intimate environment. Viewed comprehensively from the customer’s perspective, the Duravit bathroom is consistently subdivided into four functional areas (activity spots): washing, bathing, showering and toileshing (smash-up of words Toilet and using).
With approximately a dozen innovations, including three bathroom series, three tap fitting series for both contract and residential projects, and a wide range of technological and product developments, the band successfully manages to offer customers the chance of personalising such private habitat, a space where to move freely, relax, and benefit from comfort, design and functionality.
Washbasin is a key player in Duravit’s washing area: strong of its keen attention to details, the brand unveils a juicy bunch of highlights including scenarios of extreme customisation, as shown by the generous array of versatile and matching sink options, and ceramics and fittings’ splash proof quality. In order to meet both professionals (architects and interior designers) and common customers’ requirements –, also lighting fittings, mirrors, worktops, accessories and bathroom fittings equipped with adjustable diffuser heads follow the same logic. Indeed, these are perfectly consistent, integrated and modular solutions that merge modern bathroom furnishings’ high standards with maximum comfort and aesthetical research. The programme includes several bathroom cabinetry collections coming in a wide range of colour and finish options, along with an extensive material palette featuring quartz stone and bi-laminated wood.
The German company’s series are able to switch according to your mood: see Luv, the Nordic-inspired collection born in partnership with Danish designer Cecilie Manz. Luv stands out for its elegant purism that blends modernity and warmth, while Lusing matt glazes in soft tones on the outside of the DuraCeram wash bowls to contrast the high-glaze white ceramic on the inner surface. The line combines Nordic design with new technologies, colors and materials, and comprises adjustable cabinetry and sturdy consoles with rounded edges to smoothly accomodate oval ceramics.
On the contrary, the new Vero Air collection retains the iconic, rectangular character of the Vero washbasins while introducing new technical distinctions. Through the recent additions of rimless toilets, a new range of bathtubs and various pieces of furniture using c-bonded technology, Vero Air has become a complete bathroom range while retaining its strong, design-focused identity. Lastly, the design of the new DuraSquare series blends the meticulous edges of the rectangular outer form with organically flowing inner contours. The washbasin and bathtub are made of the innovative, sustainable Duravit-developed materials DuraCeram® and DuraSolid.
