If you are a Nordic style lover and you’re thinking about purchasing a new designer piece of furniture, here are some ideas for you.

Scandinavian design is possibly the trendiest interior decoration style of the moment.

It is characterised by the need to ‘brighten up’ interiors during dark winter days, using white decorations and textiles. In the past few years, Nordic interiors became a synonym of elegance.

Its rules are simple: furniture with neat lines, possibly made of natural wood, tiny design objects and a lot of candles. White is the main colour but not the only one; recently, a few more colours have been added to the Scandinavian colour palette. What will you choose to give a Nordic touch to your home? We selected 10 pieces (designed in Northern Europe, of course) to help you make this decision.

The new Rose chair by Massproductions

The new Rose chair (above) by Massproductions was designed for the living area but is equally perfect for a studio. Characterised by round shapes, it was named after Chris Martin’s daughter, as he is a designer and co-founder of the Swedish group.

Preludia is the name of the new stool collection in Nordic style (bottom left) designed by Brad Ascalon for Carl Hansen & Son. Born from an exclusive partnership for the Danish group with an American artist, this line reinterprets the unique style of the brand with minimal lines and refined details.

If you’re looking for a Nordic-style chair for the dining room, the new Agda (bottom right) designed by Front studio for Ire is perfect for you. The right mix between the classic and the more modern model, thanks to the bespoke intersection of leather strings.

For those of you who would like to add a Scandinavian touch, without giving up on bright colours, here are two new accessories. The Vienna blanket by Arthur Arbesser for Swedish group HEM, available in three colours; and the Nest wall-hooks line by Northern, handy, colourful and funny.

Finally, to give a Nordic touch that will uniform all spaces, there’s the new rug collection by Kasthall: elegant colours and refined textiles.
