Outdoor blinds collection enhances open air environments
Resstende introduces light and functional sunscreen blinds that artfully blend with nature and architecture
For those of you who enjoy outdoor life and spend plenty of time in their garden sheltering under lightweight and ultra functional blinds, a brand new integrated sun-shading system is now available as a great answer for the perfect architecture-nature dialogue. Let us introduce you to a cutting-edge intervention by Resstende in Malcesine, a small-town located on the Eastern shore of Lake Garda, where a building’s indoor-outdoor communication was highlighted thanks to a stylish sunscreen system suitable for horizontal applications.
The Agrate Brianza-based company dealt with evocative natural surroundings – where a reflecting body of water merges with rugged mountain peaks, and dark blue/green nuances embrace wind-battered olive grows and rocky cliffs rising sheer from the lake – by employing outdoor blinds of sharp design meant to turn en plain air areas into smooth house extensions.
By playing a key role in defining the dwelling’s external aesthetics, Resstende sunscreen blinds – no longer a mere accessory, but a natural residential offshoot adding great expressive value to the building itself – interact with interior volumes while charmingly expanding on open air perimeters: see the total-white blinds asked to play a charming game of contrasts with lake’s shining blue waters so to provide a well-balanced visual delicacy in which the house fluidly intertwines with nature.
The project unfolds around two major features: the sun-shading motorised blinds Boston CT165 and forced traction mechanism Traction Kit EVO, especially conceived by designer Angelo Furia to guarantee exceptional fabric tension, suitable for horizontal or vertical outdoor applications, and ensure greater wind resistance and overall stability in harsh weather conditions. The mechanism comprises three distinctive modules of dimensions 4x7 metres.
Moreover, the Resstende outdoor textile collection comes in a wide array of colour options and technical features: for instance, Soltis 92 is a grey/silvery fabric that pairs extraordinary performance and minimum thickness while providing ample protection from the sun’s glaze and heat, along with a flawless wrapping system during setup and use.
