The Vitra Panton Chair wears yellow
The Sunlight limited edition of the iconic chair by Verner Panton, among the latest designs at Imm
The limited edition Sunlight Panton Chair in warm yellow launched at Imm Cologne 2017
The Sunlight Panton Chair is already an object of desire. On the occasion of Imm Cologne 2017, Vitra re-edits this veritable design icon in a yellow-coloured limited edition with a novel fresh and sunny tone, ideal to celebrate the arrival of spring and summer.
Verner Panton, who designed the popular monocoque chair back in the sixties, used to say: «you sit more comfortable on a colour you like». The German brand took him at his word and regularly introduces new colour variants for the famous Panton chair. This year is the turn of a vibrant shade of warm yellow that brings the sun's energy and brightness into the dining room, balcony, or terrace.
Multi-award-winning and admired by all design lovers for its original anatomical shape, the Vitra Panton features a particularly comfortable seat thanks to the cantilever structure and the slight flexibility of dyed-through polypropylene, the material it is made out of. Considering that the limited edition Sunlight Panton Chair will be available only from April to August, you should seize the opportunity to get hold of an unmissable collector's item.
The news from Vitra don't end here. Conceived in collaboration with Jasper Morrison, the Soft Modular Sofa is the most up to date interpretation of what has become a modern classic: the low-slung modular sofa with a decidedly horizontal emphasis. The same designer also signed the All Plastic Chair, reminiscent of traditional wooden chairs, which is suited to both indoor and outdoor use.
The German brand brings to Cologne also a significant expansion of its Accessories Collection: the new pieces designed by couple Charles and Ray Eames and by Alexander Girard. Furthermore, new colours of the playful ceramic bird L'Oiseau by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec are now part of the collection.
