The construction method is the use of transparent ice blocks for walls and pillars; they are held together thanks consits in the use of the snice, an amalgam of snow and ice that replaces the function of the common building mortar. The snice is used for ceilings and other architectural structures: in order to shape it the amalgamation of compacted snow is fired from special guns of formwork steel, then removed after its freezing.
The hotel offers 20 traditional heated rooms and sixty rooms and suites where guests sleep on reindeer skins stretched out on the blocks of ice, completely wrapped in whole sleeping bags while the temperature is around 5 degrees below zero. The Deluxe Suites have an adjoining room where you can find private bath room, and enjoy of sauna and relaxation area in total privacy.
