The freshly renovated boho-chic resort was curated down to the last detail by multi-awarded interior design guru Kelly Hoppen MBE, who provided comfortable and charming solutions in the very midst of immaculate nature and the Indian Ocean.
Kicking off from the main hall, all habitats boast jaw-dropping views of the immediate surroundings and crystal blue ocean waters, while guest-suites and private villas are decked with outdoor verandas and sea-view patios bordered by lush vegetation.
Kelly Hoppen MBE took care of the rooms by adding plenty of cozy, home-like details like succulents planted in clay pots and handwoven wicker baskets in the name of boho-chic fashion.
Smooth flooring and coatings mix raw wood planks with geometric multicoloured tiles, which easily fit with the overall environment and design accessories – here, total-white surfaces alternate with bamboo chairs and wooden canopy beds.
Bathrooms are designed to openly interact with the natural landscape, while a high degree of privacy and comfort is guaranteed by a set of technical features aimed at maximising the amount of daylight; moreover, habitats are enriched with bespoke Victorian bathtubs installed on graphic encaustic tiles echoing the local wilderness.
Large doors allow plenty of natural light in the suite’s most intimate environments, while the rooms’ average large size merges an innate boho feel with that of an open space loft so to stand perfectly in-between tradition and modernity.
All social halls and shared areas include wattle ceilings, white-painted wooden beams and hues of natural timber, all mixed up with wooden floors and multicoloured tiles, seats with natural fabric upholstery, and ornamental wicker accessories hanging from the ceiling just like jungle vines.
The contemporary glass sections are an invitation to enjoy the stunning Indian Ocean day and night, when the sky gets crammed with stars, and guests sitting at the numerous bars and restaurants scattered throughout the property can finally make the most of Mauritius nature.
