The new Spazio900 Store opens in Milan
The historic Milan-based vintage design headquarters has been renovated and it displays 5000 pieces for sale
For all enthusiasts of modern art and design, Spazio900 launches an online shop and reopens its historic headquarters, in viale Campania 51. Always considered a meeting point for all those who love to collect anche search for vintage furnishings and objects, this historic landmark in Milan has specialized over the years in the restoration of furniture, accessories and furnishings dated from 1950 to 1980.
This search has always reflected not only a vision of sustainable design, thanks to the recovery of used items, but it has also helped to promote interior design through unique - precisely because hard to find - decorative objects.
The industrial warehouse, which collected its huge collection, has been renovated and reorganized to better display the more than 5000 pieces for sale. You can find everything in there: from 1970 desk by Ettore Sottsass to the 1958 cabinet by George Nelson for Herman Miller, from the lamp designed by Vico Magistretti and manufactured by Artemide in the 1960s to the chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. And you can find so many pieces, often unique, designed - among others - by Nanda Vigo, Joe Colombo, Charles Eames, Harry Bertoia, Alvar Aalto, Gae Aulenti and Tobia Scarpa.
The vintage electronics sector is more and more interesting, all the more because on the modern art market it’s increasingly difficult to find still working electronic items, of which Spazio900 displays a wide selection. You can find the portable record player designed by Mario Bellini for Minerva in 1968, the 1954 Ericsson telephone, 1960s table clocks, from the first Brionvega television sets up to rare 1930s Olivetti typewriters.
Now you can buy all this with a single click on the site. Most of the items on sale can also be rented for film, photo and commercials sets.
