kirk is the name of a large collection of small multitasking tables designed by minotti. Available in a range of shapes, sizes and finishes, they sport characteristically soft designs with no sharp corners. The rich variety of materials that can be used for the top and base mean the piece can be personalised in a wide range of different combinations
the ashley pouf by minotti brings back the diamond pattern, in a piece created with meticulous attention to detail and to the finishes used. The elegant matt gold zippers emphasise the soft forms of the seat, highlighting its contours. Shown with the kirk table in the console table model
glover is an armchair with a huge personality, the perfect expression of the quest for identity and uniqueness that distinguishes the entire minotti production. With its fluid, soft, continuous design, it offers an extra-warm welcome, in a lightweight yet dynamic form. Featuring stylish metal studs in pewter coloured painted metal
the overlapping of two cylindrical shapes and the contrast between the substance of wood and the shine of metal – these are benson’s distinctive traits. The benson occasional table by minotti is available in two different sizes, designed for different uses. The model with a diameter of 120 cm has a fully revolving top. Instead, the version with a diameter of 46 cm is designed to sit beside armchairs and sofas
the morgan table is based on the well-known traditional refectory table, or “fratino”, which can be traced back to a concept of simplicity and sleek lines. Morgan’s interpretation focuses on contemporary elegance and sports carefully-designed solutions in terms of shape, and luxurious materials. The morgan tables are available in a number of sizes and can also be made to measure
the pure, stylized shapes of lang are accentuated by the combination of materials designed to create a sophisticated contrast between the substance of the wood and the glossy shine of the lacquered finish. The refined workmanship calls to mind the skilled techniques that define the art of fine cabinet-making, where special care was taken in crafting the interior, with painstaking designs created for every detail, based on how it would be used. The lang storage units, featuring a modern, sleek design aesthetic provide a variety of configurations to suit the most diverse needs. They can be added to various home environments in a variety of combinations: from the “dining” container, designed to complement the morgan table, to the “living” element, created to divide areas, to the bar cabinet, perfect in areas used for socialising, and finally the console table for the hallway
with bedford, the minotti brand brings back the classic bed base, focusing on both aesthetics and practicality. The headboard, edged in leather, sports a series of elegant zippers that enable the cover to be removed. The base of the bed is designed to ensure a high level of comfort, not to mention an excellent night’s sleep
Inspired by the history of Italian design, the 2014 Minotti Collection provides a voice for the various souls that combine to make up the brand identity, contaminating the legacy of craftsmanship with the precision of industrial design and the most avant-garde production techniques.
The result is a cosmopolitan style founded on tradition, but looking towards the future, recovering tangible, universal values such as quality, style and comfort, and projecting them with elegance into the homes of today and tomorrow alike.
Coordinated by Rodolfo Dordoni, the 2014 Collection combines formal elegance and extreme functionality, a winning mix, sustained by the exclusive Minotti technology that adapts forms and materials to meet contemporary living requirements.
Examples include the Collar sofa, featuring an innovative dynamic system of arm and backrests, and the Lang storage containers, which reinterpret the tradition of cabinet-making with a modern, minimal design.
Leonard is a sofa that combines modernity and tradition, whereas Aston is a pouf backed by a whole line of chairs that also include a sofa and a dormeuse. Another pouf is the Ashley design, which brings back the diamond motif. Glover is the quintessential Minotti armchair and Bedford is the brand’s classic bed base.
In terms of small tables, the Kirk collectiondefinitely deserves a mention, as does the Benson coffee table. Instead, Morgan is a table inspired by the typical fratino of Italian homes.
