In Giussano, in the production complex of Molteni&C, the space known as Spazio QallaM, has recently been renovated. The location is designed to represent the theme of Quality and was created in 2006 by designer Patricia Urquiola, winning a Mention of Honour at the XXIII ADI Compasso d’Oro Awards. A dynamic space that is constantly changing into something new, a place of vision and contamination for those who share the values reflected in the culture of design.
The star of the new layout is the multimedia installation “How you make it” which provides a glimpse of the industrial creation process of the products by Molteni&C and its 80 years of experience and quality.
The videos, fruit of many long months spent shooting the production processes, tell how some of the iconic products under the Molteni&C brand are made – from the Arc table by Studio Foster+Partners to the Gliss Quick wardrobe, from the Gio Ponti sideboard to the Diamond and Filigree tables – a story of artisanal know-how and industrial technologies that merge to create a product of absolute quality.
