Warm and cozy retreat in the Lithuanian forest
Lithuania, a wooden family house with a contemporary touch, to create a cosy ambiance among forests and slopes
On the first floor there is the living room. The wall to ceiling glass window transforms the surrounding nature in a painting, while the white beams become a link with the whiteness of the snowy forest
White areas give an essential touch to the atmosphere, while underlining the strong personality of the contemporary furniture.
On the first floor, the dining room and the kitchen, embellished with black marble elements and dark pieces of furniture
The wooden floors give a warm atmosphere to the interiors. Glass elements and minimalist furniture underline the clear continuity of the space
In the living room lies a contemporary home-theatre. Nonetheless there is a storage place for wood for a charming heater
On the ground level: the sleeping rooms. In the children's room there's a vivid play of pastel tints
Retro taste and wooden toys for the children's room
The bathroom and the master bedroom share the same space, divided only by a scenographic glass wardrobe. The bathroom is rather minimalist: white tiles and essential modern furniture

A house in the wood, a family shelter hidden in the most immaculate nature where to enjoy a cozy atmosphere without renouncing to comfort and contemporary furniture. A stimulating challenge for the interior design studio Dizaino Virtuve, chosen to restyle the interiors of this suggestive house in the Lithuanian woods.
In order to redefine the 138 square meters distributed on different levels and transform the space in a comfortable wooden house perfect for the needs of a family with young children, the designers decided to pull down all the borders within the four walls and the ones between the inside and the outside of the house.
"The process has been very spontaneous", tell us the creative minds behind the Lithuanian studio, "the guidelines of the project have been defined by the architecture self. We simply realized what the space asked, we just made the surrounding landscape become a real element inside the domestic space".
The relationship with nature has been underlined by the use of wide wall-to-ceiling windows; the warmth of the wooden floors and walls together with the overall white of the ambiance strengthen the bond with the surrounding snowy woods.
The contemporary soul of the house lies on its minimal furniture and on the essential functionality of the spaces. Refined details embellish both the first floor (where the living, the kitchen and the dining rooms lie) and the ground floor (dedicated to the sleeping area and the bathrooms).
"This particular customization of the interiors allowed us to intertwine in harmony elements apparently lying at the antipodes. We were able to create a cosy atmosphere where a family can grow, an atmosphere defined by space and warmth".
